Felda management urged to heed Auditor-General report

Malaysian Felda Youth Council has called its upper management to take a drastic action looking into the leakages and weakness in its administration as recommended in Auditor-General 2015 Second series report.

In a press statement issued by its council president Anuar Abd Manap said that the losses incurred by Felda does not benefit its settlers and pressuring its management to look into rectifying the problem.

Among the projects incurred by losses are:

  1. LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging)
  2. Broadband initiative
  3. Sturgeon fish project implemented by FELDA Caviartive Sdn. Bhd.
  4. Sayaro restaurant implemented by Global Settlers Sdn Bhd.
  5. Schneeballen pastry implemented by Global Settlers Sdn Bhd.

Anuar said although some directors were punished for mismanagement, yet there is no solid improvement thus asking a more serious approach in handling the fund.

He also recommended that anyone caught for violating the rules and abusing the fund should face the music.

Anuar also wants the Felda management to give a promise in safeguarding its fund and avoid any losses.
