KUCHING, Feb 17 (Bernama) — Sarawak coach Datuk K. Rajagobal is confident that his team will bounce back after suffering two early defeats in the Super League.
Sarawak lost 0-1 to Police on Saturday and 1-2 to KL Felda United FC at the State Stadium in Petra Jaya last night, which put Sarawak at the bottom of the league with no points.
Rajagobal said fans should give time and space to the players because the team had just played two games.
“Our journey is still long and I’m sure the players will bounce back in the next matches.
“I’ve been through this kind of situation. We will see in five or six games whether we can bounce back or not,” he told reporters after the match last night.
The former national football coach disagreed with the opinion that the team’s strikers were incapable of scoring goals.
Rajagobal said he was not only focusing on strikers but also on all positions in the team.
On last night’s defeat to KL Felda United FC, he said the players played better than in the match against Police.
