KUALA LUMPUR,. Finance minister-designate Lim Guan Eng will submit a representation to the Attorney-General’s Chambers seeking for his corruption charge to be withdrawn, his lawyer said today.
According to national news agency Bernama, businesswoman Phang Li Koon will also seek the same over her charges related to the sale of a Penang home to Lim.
Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad previously said Lim must dispose of the corruption case before he can be officially appointed as finance minister.
The swearing-in ceremony for Lim and a dozen other ministers is set for 5.30pm today.
