Olympic Games In Brazil To Start With Protest
BRASILIA, Aug 4(BERNAMA-NNN-PRENSA LATINA)–Brazil’s Popular Front and the People Without Fear Front have announced that a demonstration will take place today against the coup that removed President Dilma Rousseff from office.

The people will gather for the political and cultural demonstration, in the Praca da Piedade (Square of Piety), in the city of Salvador, which is the venue for soccer games.

“We need to inform the world about the coup and the attempts to eliminate the rights of the people. We will make a great artistic, cultural and political event in order to repudiate the impeachment process against Dilma Rousseff and against Michel Temer’s interim government,” explained Aurino Pedreira, a member of Brazil’s Popular Front.

Brazil’s Popular Front and the People Without Fear Front have released a manifesto that denounces the conspiracy against Rousseff. The manifesto’s title is ‘Coup in the Country that Hosts the Olympic Games’.

According to the text, the impeachment was approved in the House of Representatives with the complete support of the media and the active participation of the judiciary power, prosecutors and the Federal Police.

The Brazilian right wing have lost four consecutive elections and after that, it decided to overthrow the government by force, the text added.

The manifesto says that they have not tolerated the great achievements of the Brazilian people in the last 13 years. These achievements are unacceptable for the ‘corrupt, racist, homophobic and sexist’ elite.
