KUALA LUMPUR: Penang-based Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) formally joined the Barisan Nasional coalition as an associate party.
BN secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor via a letter said PCM’s application to be a BN associate member was mooted on April 22 and subsequently approved.
PCM deputy president Huan Cheng Guan thanked the BN leadership for accepting his application as it reflects a “truly Malaysian and national interest party”.
Huan pointed that it’s better to take a newer side rather stuck in the middle path of politics preference.
After leaving Gerakan in 2009, Huan now is back again in BN.
He was holding veep position Gerakan, decided to leave Gerakan to form PCM.
Huan entered politics when he was appointed the Seberang Jaya village security and safety committee chairman in the 1990s, before joining Gerakan.
