PD polls: Don’t use government machinery, Anwar tells PKR leaders

 

KUALA LUMPUR: PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged his party leaders not to use any government machinery for the upcoming Port Dickson by election.

During a press conference at the PKR headquarters, Anwar Ibrahim emphasised that he wants those holding political position in the government to lobby for him as party leaders.

Anwar wants a clean and open by election as well as told the party leaders to work harder in winning the by election.

In fact, Anwar sidelined an offer to use government machinery arranged by Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Saifuddin Nasution for a talk in Port Dickson during the by election campaign.

Anwar also said that all the main party leaders are showing support for him to work together in winning the Port Dickson by-election including Economic Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, vice-president Tian Chua and among others were present during the press conference.

The Port Dickson by-election will be held on October 13 and the nomination on September 29.

This by-election is held after Danyal Balagopal Abdulah resigned to paved way for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to contest and return to Parliament, if he clinches a victory.
