Popular Malaysian trio KRU is breaking up

KRU members Datuk Norman, Yusry and Edry Abdul Halim said they are breaking up after its final concert on May 4-6 at Istana Budaya.

Yusry said today at a press conference in KL: “This will be our final concert. With that we are breaking up.”

In line with the concert, KRU will be releasing a compilation album consisting of 30 songs, including one new track  titled Tahan Lama. Edry said: “The song is a statement of success not only of KRU’s but any individual.”

Norman got teary-eyed while thanking everyone, especially the fans and his parents. He said: “I think we have achieved everything we wanted to do as a group. Each of us have our own responsibilities and respective projects. It’s time for us to move forward”

KRU was formed in 1992 and produced hits like Awas and Ooh! La! La!.
