Raja Muda Invites Japanese Businessmen To Invest In Perlis

TOKYO, Nov 18 (Bernama) — Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail is inviting Japanese businessmen to invest in the state which offers attractive incentives and political stability to safeguard their investments.

He said among the incentives were attractive industrial land prices, reduction in land tax for a certain period and The incentives provided by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority.

“Perlis offers great potential as the cost of doing business in the state is not high and the housing prices affordable, availability of trained human capital and its strategic location in Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle,” he told reporters before his departure for Malaysia yesterday.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin said in addition to that, the North-South Highway network could be accessed via the Changlun-Kuala Perlis Expressway and the rail service from Padang Besar to Penang Port would take 45 minutes for cargo delivery and this would save costs.

Earlier, he launched the promotion of Perlis cuisine at the official residence of Malaysian Ambassador in Japan, Datuk Ahmad Izlan Idris.

The promotion was organised by the Yayasan Tuanku Syed Putra and the Perlis Islamic Religous and Malay Customs Council which received the cooperation of Tuanku Fauziah Foundation, Halal Japan Corp (HJC) and Enertech Supplies Sdn Bhd as well as the Malaysian Embassy in Tokyo.

He had launched the same promotion at the Malay Cuisine Restaurant in Tokyo last year and in Osaka before that to introduce Perlis to the world.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin was here to witness the signing of cooperation between Enertech and HJC on Friday.
