Redberry Sdn Bhd Chief Operating Officer Datuk Wong Sai Wan said the company was committed in the collaboration as it would help to boost Bernama TV viewership, as well as providing new programmes for the station.
“However, we will not be producing 100 per cent content for Bernama TV but our ability is more on showcasing special programmes on a special occasion including discussions and open debate on particular topics,” he told Bernama after the MoU signing ceremony here today.
At the event, Wong signed the MoU on behalf of Redberry Sdn Bhd and Bernama was represented by its general manager Datuk Zulkefli Salleh.
Also present to witness the ceremony were Redberry Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Siew Ka Wei; Bernama Editor-in-Chief, Datuk Zakaria Abdul Wahab; Bernama Deputy Editor-in-Chief for Domestic News Service, Datuk Mokhtar Hussain and Deputy Editor-in-Chief for Bernama Economic Service, Mikhail Raj Abdullah.
With the assets owned by Redberry Sdn Bhd and its experience in marketing and advertising, Wong was optimistic that Bernama TV would be the choice for viewers especially with new programmes that would soon be launched.
Meanwhile, Zulkefli said he hoped the collaboration would make Bernama TV as one of the leading broadcasting stations in the ASEAN region.
“The collaboration is important especially towards the rebranding of Bernama TV. It could be a platform for the station to provide good programmes for viewers such as community and interactive ones,” he said.
