KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 12 — The total number of flood victims in relief centres in Pahang and Perak have dropped Monday morning while it remained the same in Kelantan and Johor as last night at 1,843 and 32 individuals respectively.
Pahang recorded a drop from 1,995 flood victims this morning from 3,026 last night and Perak from 2,381 to 2,363 individuals.
Overall the number of flood victims placed at relief centres nationwide this morning has dropped to 6,233 individuals this morning from 7,282 last night.
In PAHANG, a spokesman from the Pahang police headquarters flood operations room said Pekan district accomodated 1,222 flood victims followed by Kuantan (440), Temerloh (311), Bera (14), Bentong (seven) and one in Maran.
In PERAK, a Perak National Security Council (MKN) spokesman said at present 12 relief centres were still opened in four districts with Perak Tengah accomodating 1,845 flood victims, Hilir Perak (357), Manjung (124) and Hulu Perak (37).
In KELANTAN, Kelantan MKN said the number of victims recorded in Kuala Krai were 1,016, Gua Musang (674), Tanah Merah (93) and Machang (60).
