KUALA LUMPUR,. The Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) has announced the cessation of toll payments, gazetted for the Sungai Besi toll for the Seremban-Kuala Lumpur and Salak expressway stretches, from June 1.
The authority, through a statement from the director general’s office, explained this meant that the entire length of the two highways would not be calculated as part of toll charges.
It said the ending of collections would translate into a dip in toll charges for motorists when exiting the Sungai Besi toll booth.
“The prices will drop between RM0.40 and RM1.70 depending on the distance travelled and vehicle classification,” read the statement, which explained the affected stretch was also known as the Metramac Highway.
LLM added the drop in prices would benefit some 130,000 motorists, adding that daily users of the stretch will now only be required to pay the PLUS Highway rates.
