NILAI, Feb 22 (Bernama) — It was a case of spilled milk as a three-tonne lorry laden with milk and water overturned KM278.7, on the North-South Expressway (southbound) near here, this morning.
Nilai Fire and Rescue Department operations officer Sharim Simin said they received an emergency call at 9.45 am and five firemen rushed to the scene.
“It is believed the lorry skidded and overturned across the third and fourth lanes on the road as the rear right tyre of the lorry had burst. The lorry was heading south from Kuala Lumpur. The driver and a male passenger were in their 30 and 40s.
“Both suffered minor injuries and were sent to Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar Seremban for further treatment. They were helped out of the lorry and assisted by Plus workers before being taken in an ambulance,” he said when contacted by Bernama.
