300 tourism exhibitors to participate in inaugural MTTM 2020
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 27 — Some 300 tourism exhibitors are expected to showcase their products and services at the inaugural Malaysia Tourism and Travel Mart 2020 (MTTM 2020) scheduled to be held in June next year.
Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) Datuk Zulkefli Sharif said the exhibitors consisted of up to 80 per cent foreign exhibitors and 20 per cent local-based companies. “MTTM 2020 is a great platform for the world’s travel community to bringing industry players to meet, network, negotiate and conclude business.
“It not only provides business opportunities to buyers and sellers but also is a great platform to promote and sell Malaysia’s unique tourism attractions through attractive packages offered by Malaysian sellers,” he noted in a media briefing on MTTM 2020, here today.
According to Zulkefli, MTTM 2020 which would be held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) from June 25 to 27, 2020, was in line with the Malaysia Business Events Roadmap initiative which aimed to add value to the economy and create more jobs and employment in the country.
He said the promotional activities for MTTM 2020 would act as a catalyst to the ‘Visit Malaysia Year 2020’ campaign, while the exhibition itself complemented the campaign’s objectives and would establish Malaysia as a preferred global business events destination.
The three-day trade exhibition would be open to trade visitors on the first two days and to the public on the third day of the show.
