A joint effort by Tourism Malaysia, Prasarana and MRT Corp to kick off KL Heritage Food Trails & MyCity Pass

KUALA LUMPUR, December 20 – A public engagement program organised by Tourism Malaysia in collaboration with Prasarana Malaysia Berhad and MRT Corporation was held at Pasar Seni MRT Station to launch KL Heritage Food Trails and MyCity Pass.

It is an initiative to boost tourist arrivals for Visit Malaysia 2020.

The KL Heritage Food Trails package was introduced by Tourism Malaysia to highlight local gems around Kuala Lumpur featuring three major tourist areas namely Kampung Baru, Brickfields and Petaling Street.

Tourists will be taken on a literal sightseeing experience where they will dine like the locals.

In conjunction with the event launch, Prasarana has offered attractive discounts for travel pass.
The pass will be offered at RM10 for one day unlimited travel and RM 25 for three days usage.

For first time buyers, they need to pay an additional RM5 for the card cost and a minimum store value of RM5.

The promotion starts on 25th December till 31st December 2020.

The aim of the exhibition is to promote special deals on tourism products, hotels and tourism packages to further stimulate tourism industry growth.

“The KL Heritage Food Trails and MyCity Pass will enhance Malaysia’s tourism experience and service as travelling on integrated rail and BRT network facilitating the travelers to discover places of interest, local cuisines and shopping malls in most convenient way, ” said Datuk Musa Yusof, Tourism Malaysia Director General during the launching event at Pasar Seni MRT.

Malaysia targets 30 million tourists arrivals and RM100 billion tourist receipts for Visit Malaysia 2020.
