Asia Gas Hub unveils GasX digital trading platform at Energy Asia 2023
Kuala Lumpur– Asia Gas Hub (AGH), an energy market solutions provider has announced the launching of the digital gas trading platform GasX. This launching came in time at the Energy Asia 2023 as a part of a larger overall strategy to open up the natural gas market in Malaysia.
Energy Asia 2023 is an event from June 26 to 28, held in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The event was officiated by the Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim on Monday (June 26)
The first in Malaysia, the GasX aims to assist buyers and sellers of natural gas to post, negotiate and execute natural gas contracts for the delivery of the Malaysian extensive natural gas pipeline system.
The trading platform aims to be instrumental in the development of a more transparent, efficient, competitive, and liquid gas market benefiting the users and also making Malaysia an even more attractive investment destination.
GasX is customized for the Malaysian gas market leveraging COMET’s newest technology, CG Hub. The platform provides a centralized hub (dashboard) for bids and offers all members to view by capturing the transaction plus the audit trail as well as alerting the members when a new deal is posted.
Additionally, it also does the ability to click to execute, begin a bilateral negotiation and receive an automated transaction confirmation, and generate comprehensive audit logs to meet a variety of compliance and regulatory standards.
Implementing GasX will start from a ‘demo’ environment to allow the users to familiarize themselves with the system before going into a ‘production/life’ environment where actual bids, offers, and trading occur.
