DC’s First Batman Preschool Series Incorporates “Hero” Curriculum, Teaching Young Audiences About Bravery, Friendship, Teamwork and Self-Confidence

MALAYSIA, 11 OCTOBER 2022 – Cartoon Network and HBO GO today announced that Batwheels will officially be brought (zoom) to television screens starting Sunday, 16 October. The series will premiere in the Cartoonito preschool block on Cartoon Network (Astro, Channel 615) on weekends, at 9pm and stream the same day on the Cartoonito hub on HBO GO.

A work published by Warner Bros. Animation, Batwheels pioneered DC’s first Batman preschool series, offering young audiences a high-speed, energetic CGI-animated iteration of the Caped Crusader. Younger audiences of the whole family will also experience the thrill of ‘rolling’ along with an amazing group of super-vehicles — Bam (Batmobile), Bibi (Batgirl Cycle), Redbird (Robin’s racing car), Buff (Bat-Truck), and Batwing (Batplane) — as they help Batman, Batgirl and Robin keep the streets of Gotham City safe. Whether facing the Legion of Zoom or one of Gotham City’s notorious Super-Villains, the Batwheels will use their incredible equipment and creative teamwork to save the city.

Top voice actors in the highly anticipated series include Ethan Hawke (as Bruce Wayne/Batman), AJ Hudson (as Duke Thomas/Robin), Leah Lewis (as Cassandra Cain/Batgirl), Jacob Bertrand (as Bam) , Jordan Reed (as Redbird), Madigan Kacmar (as Bibi), Noah Bentley (as Buff), Lilimar (as Batwing), Kimberly D. Brooks (as The Batcomputer), Mick Wingert (as Moe and The Joker), Xolo Maridueña (as Snowy) and Gina Rodriguez (as Catwoman).

Based on characters from DC, Batwheels is produced by Warner Bros. Animation, while animation services are provided by Superprod Studio.
In addition, children can also have fun exploring the Batwheels interactive experience with the online game ‘Batwheels By You’ on the Cartoon Network Asia website. This exciting and creatively stimulating ‘Batwheels By You’ will keep little ones busy coloring and creating their own team of Batwheels. This game can be played for free.

Behind this superhero adventure, Batwheels will teach children about what it means to be a hero through a unique “Hero” curriculum. The curriculum aligns with Cartoonito’s Human Centered Learning framework that encourages children to be their best selves. Each episode of Batwheels will feature a different character’s strengths – self-awareness, concern for others, perseverance, and courage, among others – in the face of personal and interpersonal challenges and show how heroes can contribute to the greater good.

Batwheels will also showcase the value of friendship, teamwork and highlight the benefits of these skills. In fact, the series will teach children that although all the vehicles have great abilities, but the more important aspect that fuels their heroism lies in the inner strength of each character, knowing how to be a good friend and the ability to work together as a team. Parents can learn more about the Batwheels hero curriculum and access resources here, to help extend learning beyond the screen by visiting the Cartoonito Asia website.
