Celebrating 75 Years of Growth: TNB Energy Night Walk & Run 2024
PUTRAJAYA: TNB Energy Night Walk & Run 2024 was planned by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) to mark its 75th anniversary. The event sought to deepen TNB’s ties to the community. Themed “Celebrating Progress, Shaping the Future,” this event offered a chance to raise more environmental consciousness than simply a workout session. This is consistent with TNB’s National Energy Transition Roadmap (3NR) pledge to spearheading the energy change toward net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
Resuming a Beloved Custom
Celebrated in 2019 in honor of TNB’s 70th anniversary, the final event of its kind drew great turnout. The event returned in 2024 not just to honor TNB’s commitment to sustainability but also to replicate prior success by including contemporary environmentally friendly technologies.
Grand Opening and Active Involvement
The event saw the participation of distinguished guests, including the Minister of Energy Transition and Natural Resources (PETRA), YAB Dato’ Sri Fadillah Yusof, TNB Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Razak Abdul Majid, and TNB President/CEO Datuk Ir. Megat Jalaluddin Megat Hassan. Both the Deputy Prime Minister and TNB’s President/CEO joined the 3-kilometer walk, showcasing their commitment to the event’s objectives and fostering community engagement.
With more than 4,500 attendees, the event highlighted the rising public interest in environmental preservation and good living.

The event concluded in an exciting fortunate draw when a female competitor won the grand prize and brought home a brand-new motorbike. This enhanced the thrill and inspired community participation even more.

Following Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) guidelines, the Energy Night Walk & Run pushed sustainability, an active lifestyle, and energy efficiency.
