Geely Automobile, Sales Exceed 2.17 Million Units, Overseas Market Growth Rate Surges 53%

HANGZHOU, China, Jan. 9, 2025 / — Geely Auto announced that its annual sales in 2024 exceeded 2.17 million units, up 32% year-on-year. Overseas business reached a record high with exports of 403,923 units, up 53% year-on-year.

In 2024, Geely Automobile will significantly expand its global presence to over 80 countries and regions by consolidating its position in existing markets such as the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Latin America, while entering more than 10 new markets. In addition, the successful launch of 16 models in more than 40 countries and regions will further strengthen this strategic expansion, demonstrating its commitment to providing high-value vehicles and excellent customer experiences to diverse global customers.

Strengthening localized presence and network

Geely Automobile’s global sales and service network has expanded significantly to approximately 900 locations, up 69% from the end of 2023. It has also expanded its regional operations by opening two new plants in Asia and Africa and establishing four new subsidiaries in Indonesia, Australia, the Philippines and Chile to enhance its access to local markets. It has also built a state-of-the-art global parts network supported by a central hub and five strategic overseas facilities to optimize its supply chain.

Flagship model driving growth

Coolray has secured the top 3 spot among Chinese brands in its segment in six major markets with 1 million units sold in 51 countries. Monjaro exports surged 150% year-on-year, demonstrating strong demand for its luxurious design and powerful performance. Emgrand has reaffirmed its market dominance by ranking third among A-sedans in nine major markets. Geely EX5 has attracted global attention with its appearances on international stages such as Automechanika Frankfurt, Thailand Auto Expo and Hong Kong IMXPO.

Building an inclusive user experience

By 2024, Geely Automobile will have over 16 million Geely Automobile customers, prioritizing product innovation, operational excellence and brand building. Geely Automobile will continue to pursue a “multi-energy” strategy covering ICE, hybrid, electric and methanol to provide tailored solutions across markets.
