ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 11, 2025 – GMCC & Welling, a global leader in HVACR core component solutions, unveiled a suite of cutting-edge products tailored for the North American market at the 2025 AHR Expo, which opened today in Orlando. The lineup includes advanced scroll, rotary, and reciprocating compressors, along with high-efficiency motors, designed to meet the diverse demands of residential, commercial, and automotive HVAC applications.
Cold Climate Heat Pump Solutions: Efficiency Meets Reliability
Recognizing the harsh winter conditions of North America, GMCC & Welling showcased its Cold Climate Heat Pump Solutions, engineered to provide reliable performance in extreme temperatures, blizzards, and freezing rain. The company’s latest rotary and scroll compressors integrate inverter technology and Enhanced Vapor Injection (EVI), boosting heating efficiency in frigid environments. These compressors feature high compression ratios for improved reliability and incorporate low-noise and low-vibration designs for enhanced comfort.
Aligning with global sustainability goals, GMCC’s heat pump compressors are compatible with eco-friendly refrigerants, including R454B, R32, and R410A. This commitment to energy efficiency underscores the company’s dedication to environmentally responsible innovations.
Expanding Local Presence and R&D Investment
Zhang Qiyun, Head of GMCC & Welling’s Americas Market, emphasized the company’s strategic focus on North America, highlighting localization as a key growth strategy.

For heating and heat pump water heater applications, GMCC presented its full range of rotary compressors, with displacement capacities ranging from 15cc/rev to 58cc/rev. These compressors, designed with EVI technology, deliver superior efficiency, reduced noise, and broad compatibility across various applications. GMCC also introduced a specialized design for its inverter scroll compressors, featuring an enhanced low-bearing plate to improve structural rigidity and reduce noise levels.
Welling Motors complemented the showcase with a full suite of motor solutions for North American HVAC systems, including PSC, ECM, BLDC, 3P, and ER motors, offering optimized efficiency and performance.
In refrigeration, GMCC highlighted several flagship products, such as the Ultra-Efficient Inverter Reciprocating Compressor for household refrigerators, Double Suction Inverter Recip Compressor, and high-displacement compressors for commercial beverage coolers, ice cream freezers, kitchen refrigerators, and ice makers. DC inverter compressors for automotive and portable cooling applications were also featured, earning recognition for their reliability, compact design, and strong start-up performance.
