JMFR 2024 is a platform to strengthen friendship and promote a healthy lifestyle – Fadillah.
MANJUNG: The Janamanjung Fellowship Ride (JMFR) 2024 program organized by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) succeeded in strengthening relations between communities, said Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.
He said the program is a way to promote a healthy lifestyle through cycling.
In addition, this program also enables TNB to help the local community by donating to those in need.
He said that this program was stopped for several years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it is now being held again this year with the participation of around 2,000 participants from all over Malaysia.
This morning’s program was attended by the Deputy Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir, as well as TNB’s Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Megat Jalaluddin Megat Hassan.
Megat said that JMFR 2024, held to celebrate TNB’s 75th Anniversary, will involve a 75-kilometre cycle ride. This cycle starts and ends at Teluk Batik Beach.
Themed ‘Ride Together: Energy. Progress. Sustainability’, “JMFR 2024 is not just a cycling event, but also a way for TNB to show its commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and the use of clean energy.
This is in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3, which relates to health and well-being. ”
