Malaysia-China Run 2024 to mark 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties

KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 12): Oriental Daily News has announced the Malaysia-China Run 2024, a major event celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China.

Scheduled for Sunday, Dec 8, 2024, the run will begin at Dataran Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur at 6am.

It will be divided into the 5km Fun Run and 10km Run, with over 5,000 participants aged seven and older expected.

Participants will have the opportunity to win lucky draw prizes featuring electrical home appliances and RM4,000 in cash vouchers.

The top 10 finishers in the various categories of the 10km Run will be awarded a combined total of RM14,000 in cash prizes along with plaques.

The deadline for registration is Oct 31, 2024.

Registration is RM50 for the 5km Fun Run and RM65 for the 10km Run, with special packages offered for groups.

Runners will receive a drawstring bag, event T-shirt, finisher medal, e-certificate, personal accident insurance, refreshments, and a bib number.

Participants in the 10km Run will also receive timing chips.

The Malaysia-China Run 2024 is set to take place with the collaboration of the Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia-Huazong, The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia, The Malaysia Chinese Assembly Hall, Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce, Malaysia-China Friendship Association, The Federation of Foochow Associations of Malaysia, The Federation of Hokkien Associations of Malaysia, The Federation of Hainan Association Malaysia, and Persekutuan Persatuan-Persatuan Hakka Malaysia.
