SUGAR GROVE, Ill. – February 19, 2025 – A newly established organization, the Sustainable Aviation Fuels Institute Inc. (SAFII), has been launched to unite key players in the sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) industry. The initiative aims to enhance fuel quality oversight, provide industry education, and drive policy awareness as the aviation sector pushes toward its climate goals.

A Unified Effort to Advance SAF Standards
SAFII brings together industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, supply chain partners, and fuel testing experts to create a centralized hub for SAF-related knowledge and best practices.

“We want SAFII to serve as a go-to resource for all aspects of sustainable aviation fuel,” said Cindy Tomei, CAE, president of SAFII. “Our goal is to maintain consistent fuel quality standards, increase legislative awareness, and support the industry’s transition to more sustainable fuel solutions.”

Key Focus Areas of SAFII
