NWICE 2024: An important platform for sustainable water resource management in the country.
KUALA LUMPUR: The 2nd National Water Innovation Conference and Exhibition (NWICE 2024) is a place to share expertise, experience, and the latest technology in developing the country’s water and sewerage system to be comparable to other countries.

This conference will provide several important benefits, especially to the water and sewerage sector in our country. It serves as a place for industry players and stakeholders to share knowledge, expertise, and experience through presentation sessions that will take place during the conference. The purpose is to improve the level of the water and sewerage industry in this country to reach international standards.
It also serves as a place to share the latest knowledge and technology in water management and sewerage systems between local and foreign experts. In addition, it became a space to discuss innovative ways to face the challenges of climate change affecting the country’s water resources.
“This platform also helps increase collaboration between government agencies, industry, and research institutions to advance water technology in our country. This can also avoid the problem of incompatibility between the needs of all parties involved,” he said.
He also said, NWICE 2024 will be a place to push the progress of green technology in the water sector, in line with the country’s sustainability goals.
This text means that this program provides opportunities for TVET institutions, universities, and companies to share research results, joint studies, and show new products and technologies to visitors. The aim is to expand their network in the industry and build better cooperation.
NWICE 2024 is an event that will be held for three days, from 26 to 28 November 2024. This event is organized by the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation through the Department of Sewerage Services, along with several other agencies such as the National Hydraulic Research Institute of Malaysia, the Department of Water Supply, and the Malaysian Trenchless Technology Association.
With the theme “Water Change for Global Survival,” the conference was opened by the Deputy Prime Minister and PETRA Minister, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.
With over 800 participants, 69 paper presentations, and 42 exhibitors from various domestic and foreign sectors, NWICE 2024 focuses on the development and change of the water and sewerage industry infrastructure in our country. There are three main themes discussed which are: 1) Improving and Changing the National Sewerage Infrastructure, 2) Leading Water Availability in the Face of Climate Change, and 3) Dredging-Free Technology and Green Innovation.
