Pfizer CEO tests positive for COVID-19 for the second time
NEW YORK: Pfizer’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Albert Bourla, has contracted COVID-19 for the second time.
Bourla, 60, first tested positive last August and has been receiving the company’s antiviral treatment for COVID-19, Paxlovid.
Paxlovid is an antiviral drug used to treat high-risk patients such as the elderly.
Previously, Bourla had received four doses of the COVID-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer and its partner from Germany, BioNTech.
