Pos Malaysia Opens 50th Pos Shop in Penang
GEORGE TOWN: Pos Malaysia Berhad officially opened its 50th Pos Shop on Friday, located at Jalan Dato Keramat here. The new Pos Shop offers a comprehensive range of retail services beyond traditional mail and parcel delivery.
Charles Brewer, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Pos Malaysia, stated that the launch of this latest Pos Shop marks a significant milestone in the company’s transformation journey, as it continues to innovate and adapt to the evolving needs of its customers.
“This also represents a key achievement in our goal to establish 50 Pos Shops nationwide, which have collectively served over 640,000 customers,” he said, following the opening ceremony officiated by Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.
Brewer highlighted that the Dato Keramat location is the fifth Pos Shop in the state, after those in Perai, Kepala Batas, Batu Maung, and Gelugor, reflecting the company’s commitment to making its services more accessible to the public.
Spanning over 74 square meters, the Dato Keramat Pos Shop combines a fully operational post office with a comfortable, customer-friendly retail space. It offers services such as parcel delivery, bill payments, mobile phone top-ups, e-wallet reloads, and other everyday needs.
In celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year, the Pos Shop has introduced a new festive menu, including the Tangerine Sunshine drink and other delicious treats as part of the ‘Promo Paling Ong’ campaign. The promotion will be available at all 50 Pos Shops from now until February 28.
The first Pos Shop was launched in Jalan Medan Tuanku, Kuala Lumpur, in May 2023. Since then, the network has rapidly expanded across Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia.
