Wind, Fairy Caves in Bau awarded MyTQA Silver Awards
KUCHING (April 15): The Wind Cave and Fairy Cave in Bau have been awarded the Malaysia Tourism Quality Assurance (MyTQA) Silver Awards by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac).
In a press release, Motac said the awards were presented on April 14 to the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC), which manages these two tourism products.
Motac Sarawak director Debbie Jenggut Nyelang, in her speech, encouraged more industry players to pursue MyTQA recognition.
“This will benefit the tourism industry and strengthen Malaysia’s image as a world-class tourism destination, especially ahead of Visit Malaysia Year 2026,” she said.
Representing SFC at the MyTQA award presentation held at the Motac Sarawak office were its head of eco-tourism and business development, Shirley Lyn Michael Gais, Kuching regional manager Alfonso Mckenzie Simon, and park warden Laing Lesley Ului.
Also present was Motac Sarawak assistant director Zurina Zainal Abidin Shah.
