JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia , Sept. 20, 2024 / — Yutong Bus ‘ (SHA:600066) E11 Pro electric bus, the flagship model of battery electric buses, confirmed its unmatched safety and performance in an endurance test in extreme heat and wind last week. In response to frequent public concerns about the safety of electric vehicle batteries in hot climates and limitations in terms of range and energy efficiency, the Yutong Bus E11 Pro electric bus has been subjected to two high-temperature performance tests. The advanced air conditioning of the electric bus was able to quickly cool the cabin from a temperature of 53.6 °C to a pleasant 23.6 °C. It only took her 27 minutes. The body of the vehicle is made of dark grey, fully enclosed hollow glass panels, the construction of which ensures exceptional thermal properties and low noise levels. Yutong’s high-security battery is equipped with the YESS battery protection system developed by Yutong itself, and also boasts a multi-layer fireproof construction with thermal insulation that can withstand temperatures of up to 1300°C for up to two hours. The electric bus is also equipped with an advanced liquid cooling system, which is twice as efficient as natural cooling, along with protection against condensation and dirt penetration, thanks to which it can handle both high temperatures and dusty road environments.
