Mohamad Norza Elected to BWF Council
KUALA LUMPUR, April 27, 2025 – Tan Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria has been elected to the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Council for the 2025–2029 term, further cementing Malaysia’s influence in the sport.
The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) hailed Norza’s appointment as a testament to his leadership and dedication to badminton.
The election took place at the BWF AGM in Xiamen, China, where Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul was also confirmed as the new BWF President, succeeding Poul-Erik Hoyer Larsen.
BAM wished Norza continued success in elevating Malaysia’s presence in global badminton governance.
