Palestinian Death Toll From Israeli Airstrikes On Gaza Today Rises To 15
GAZA, May 10 (NNN-WAFA) – The Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip yesterday, have killed 15 Palestinians and wounded 22 others, said the Gaza-based Ministry of Health, run by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
The ministry said in a press statement that, among those killed included four children and five women, while seven of the 22 injured were in serious condition.
During predawn hours yesterday, Israeli unmanned drones and fighter jets, carried out simultaneous raids on several buildings in Gaza, killing three senior members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement’s armed wing.
The joint chamber of military operations of Palestinian factions said in a press statement that, it “mourns a constellation of martyrs of our people, including leaders, children, and women, who died as a result of the treacherous Zionist aggression launched against their homes.”
The chamber comprises several Palestinian militant groups, including the armed wing of PIJ, known as the Al-Quds Brigades, and the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.
So far, neither the PIJ nor Hamas has responded to the Israeli airstrikes.
Ibrahim Koueider, a political analyst from Gaza, said that, “not responding to the assassination of (PIJ) leaders, even after many hours have passed, aimed at keeping the Israeli government and people in a state of great uncertainty and confusion.”
“The Jihad and the rest of the factions’ armed wings, led by Hamas, are managing the battle with high military skill, without emotional responses, and they know how and when to start their battle, so that it keeps Israel standing on one foot,” Koueider said.
